Ruth Attig, a special education classroom aide in Murphysboro Middle School, at Tennessee went into the school first on Friday to observe employees of Phoenix Modular Elevator and Fager-McGee Commercial Construction install a brand new elevator at the college.
"I just wanted to watch them take action in case I have to make use of the elevators this year," Attig stated.
Attig, who has been employed in the area for 31 years and been at the centre school as 1993, had been stuck at the older elevator with students several times.
The rotating shaft and elevator parts are prefabricated.
"We all make them ship all over the country and Canada. That one is in our backyard," Allgaier stated.
Often, lifts created by Phoenix Modular are installed on the exterior of buildings. The elevator at the faculty is entirely inside the construction.
Lynndi Kesler, sales director at Phoenix Modular Elevator, said the lift was assembled of tubing steel and conventional drywall. It weighs about 25,000 lbs.

The rotating shaft and elevator assembly has been loaded onto a flat bed truck and brought to Murphysboro Friday morning.
Considering rain storms were expected Thursday day , workers from Fager-McGee slice the hole at the faculty ceiling Friday morning, according to Yeyo Granados, vice president of construction to Fager-McGee. They sent a rep to Phoenix Modular Elevator earlier in the week to take measurements of this elevator. (The rest of the openings to the shaft were cut before.)
After the truck with the elevator came, two cranes picked up the meeting, turned it upright and put it down to the ground while straps from the more compact crane were removed. The more expensive crane picked up the elevator and gradually lower it through three floors. It is likely to soon be bolted and welded into place.
The hydraulics and electric wiring will be installed, and then the lift will be analyzed and inspected.
"We're simply happy the rain ceased," Allgaier said.
Tennessee said working using Phoenix Modular Elevator saved the district much more than using the elevator constructed on site. The original estimate for replacing the older elevator was $500,000. Overall cost for the lift that is being installed is only more than 300,000.
"This really is a high-level project with this field," Granados said.
The project was financed with the county facilities earnings tax, a county ballot initiative which passed in November 20-16.

The lift also meets requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Grode explained the school office additionally is being moved through summertime renovations. The new elevator and also the front door will open directly into any office, improving security at your school.
